Nutrition: It's Totally Up to You
Sometimes travel schedules can undermine your workout goals and get you off track. We are working to establish partnerships across the U.S. to give you exciting, effective workout options while your away from the Motor City. We specifically look for programs that we feel have the same philosophy and intensity as WPE. Our first partner is a premier fitness company in the L.A. area, Sonki Fitness. Sonki has one goal: get you in the best shape of your life, for life. While, we'll never agree that anyplace is better than the D, there is something about boot camp on the beach. If you're travelling to Southern CA, be sure to visit Sonki. Click here to read about Sonki's fitness program.

“This is as close as you’ll come to enjoying hard exercise. The uniqueness of the exercises has kept me from being bored, and the group environment helps push me. We’re like a team working together and that helps a lot when the weather is cold or the alarm clock goes off early.” -Mike Rosenau, Birmingham Even when I was pregnant and then 6 weeks post- C-section last year, Jeff was able to give me modified exercises to keep my fitness level in check. My endurance is high, I am stronger, and I just feel more fit than when I just ran and played soccer. There's a sense of community instilled within the program, and I feel good participating in fundraisers to help others. -Jean Barnas-Haratsaris, Berkley “What is the exercise answer for a middle-aged out-of-shape workaholic? Jeff Watters and Motor City Bootcamp. Bootcamp is varied, interesting and does not interfere with my day. It has lowered my Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Triglycerides and weight. Thankfully, it is addictive both Summer and Winter.” -Rob Moroni, Birmingham I’ve been with MCB for 3.5 years and am still not bored with it. Jeff always has some new trick up his sleeve or new type of workout to put us through. His approach to training and philanthropy is brought to an entirely new level with MCB! I tell everyone I know about MCB! -Natalie Race, Berkley |

Travel Partners Help You Stick to Your Program Even When You're Away
No matter what fitness or exercise program you choose, you'll never really be healthy unless you take control of your diet to make sure you're getting the right nutrition. WPE encourages every client to make good eating habits part of their fitness program, but, just like the effort you put into exercising, the motivation to eat right has to come from you. If you're putting in 100 percent to your exercise program (meaning showing up for every session and pushing yourself as hard as you can) but you're still not reaching your body fat or weight goals, you can be sure that the problem lies with your diet. The U.S. Agriculture Department issued new dietary guidelines this year to adjust serving and portion sizes for a healthy 2,000-calorie daily diet to meet nutritional requirements. If following these recommendations isn't helping you, try tracking your diet with a food journal. Experts agree that keeping track of your diet in writing is one of the best ways to manage and monitor your intake. One good resource is a free online food and exercise journal offered by fitday.com. This program will help you track your activities and what you eat as well as provide analysis of where you are meeting the RDA and where you might need to make adjustments. No matter how you do it, the fact is eating healthy is something only you can control and something that is critical for a healthy lifestyle.
