Motor City Bootcamp and Fox 2
Detroit Team Up to Give Back
Nobody can do everything; but everybody can do
something
Detroit is consistently at the top when it comes to donating to charitable causes.  This is evident in
so many of my clients who participate in charity sporting events, volunteer their time and donate
money to good causes.  Charity is also something that is important to me as an individual and a
business owner.

So when I saw Amy Lange's story about the Covenant House on FOX2, I realized that it was
something I, along with Motor City Bootcamp, wanted to help out with. Exercise benefits go so far
beyond the physical. It's a great way to teach you how to set, work for and obtain goals while
establishing a sense of confidence. Something that so many people lack. I think it's something we
can change.

On December 17th,  everyone is invited to meet at Moosejaw Mountaineering in Birmingham to
come out and "play" to help raise funds for this great cause. There's going to be an optional 5K
run that will begin and end at Moosejaw. This will be a nice scenic run through downtown
Birmingham. Start time is 6 p.m. Once the run concludes, all runners and exercisers that show up
at 6:30, will be broken up into two groups based on your exercise level. We'll then go through a
45-60 minute Motor City Bootcamp style workout, based on the level that you're placed into. Upon
completion of the workouts, we'll have pizza and pop for all participants. As well, for any last
minute holiday shoppers, Moosejaw will be offering a 15% discount on all in-store items to all
event participants.

The cost for this event is a minimum donation of $20 to Covenant House Michigan. Feel free to
donate more! In exchange for your donation, all participants will be given a copy of the run map, an
at home version of the Motor City Bootcamp workout you completed and 1 free week of Motor City
Bootcamp during the first week of January. What better way to get your New Years off to a great
start!

All the proceeds from our event will be donated to
Covenant House Michigan. This event is open to
EVERYONE. In shape, out of shape, in strollers... we don't care. Just get out! If you're planning to
attend, please download and fill out the attached
waiver before you get there. Moosejaw in located
at 34288 Woodward Avenue, Birmingham, MI 48009

Covenant House Michigan is a have
nowhere to go. The kids who come
those who are supposed to care
about them the most.

When they come through our gates,
they become part of a family. Our
staff, volunteers and donors carry
out our mission based on faith and
the belief that all of God’s children
deserve unconditional love, respect
and hope. Our staff and volunteers
step in as parents-encouraging,
directing, and loving them.

We encourage our young people to
succeed, but give them a second
(third, fourth, fifth...) chance when
they don’t make it right away. We
help them take hold of their future by
providing necessities like food and
shelter and by offering tools for
success such as education and job
development.

Help us paint a picture of hope for
our kids.
